If you have been hearing about passive or residual income, or about making money online, you may find what you have read difficult or confusing. However, I have a simple strategy to augment my income significantly each year: by picking a single site, getting enough content on it to earn me a dollar a day in residual income, and then moving on. Once I get to a dollar per day, I start working on the next site, and when I reach fifty different sites, I will have over $18,000 coming in! The great thing about this strategy is that absolutely anyone can implement it over time, and as long as you have a reasonable grasp of grammar and spelling, you can have unique, original and interesting content. If you can tell a story, you can make money online!

There are a number of different sites that will pay either for creating content, or for curating content. (What is curating content? Imagine if you were to walk into a store to buy something, and instead of having different aisles with related products on them, everything was just placed randomly on the shelves. It would take you forever to find anything! Curating content simply means organizing other information in a way people will find useful.) That content may be stories, poetry, recipes, research, music, videos, photos, or something else; new kinds of content pop up every single day. No matter what you know how to do well, someone else wants to learn how to do it, too!

Another way that you can make money online is by setting up an internet radio station, and getting advertisers to pay for a 10-second spot on your radio station. Or you can design products for a print-on-demand store (you don’t have to carry or fulfill any inventory; simply upload your design and let the print-on-demand store handle the rest.  If you have a digital camera, photo sites are another way to make a good source of income. Rather than posting your photos on Flickr or other sites for free, you can get paid for unusual and interesting photos.  You can also simply share interesting and unusual content you find on the internet through a number of bookmarking sites. If you like to shop, then affiliate sales may be more your thing–you can simply post links to interesting products. With your affiliate code, if someone buys that product, you can earn money.

In any case, you could soon be well on your way to financial security. And if you think it won’t add up, think again. I make about $60 a month from all sources combined, at present. Were I to invest money to get $60 each month, I would need to invest over $20,000! So the path to financial freedom may be much simpler than you think!
