Hi, I’m going to teach you basic steps on collecting Nascar die-casts if your a beginner. Collecting die-casts is a hobby of mine. If your in this hobby to make money than I suggest you find a new one. About85% of the cars are going to be worth less than what you paid for. I’m in the hobby because I love Nascar and you get to meet new people. People like to collect their favorite driver or the paint scheme a car ran, a person might be drawn to that. Here are some tips into starting a collection.  The die-casts you find at Walmart and Target are Winner’s circle. They are cheap but there’s no detail inside of the car. If you want to collect I suggest Action Racing Collectibles or RCCA Elite. The ARC has over 100 movable parts. They are great if your a beginner. The elites have the best detail and tend to be more expensive. Most people prefer to collect the 1/24th scale die-casts. I like to check the boxes if they have any rips, shelf wear or any other defects. Once you look it over check the car for any defects. I look for paint chips, missing parts or paint defects on the car.  When you decide the car looks ok than I’ll check the price out. Ebay is your best friend. It will give you an accurate figure on prices. On Ebay you can get cars at great prices. Now if you want to be serious about collecting than I suggest you join the RCCA club. For $20 you get a lifetime membership. You will receive a  magazine every month and get a chance to purchase rare die-casts. The RCCA club sells elites which are my favorite die-casts. They tend to be $90 but sometimes they will have sales in the the summer. The elites are usually number to 400 or less. The detail is amazing. I fell in love when I purchased my first one. If you want a rare die-casts than they sell white-golds, bronze and platinum. Only 50 or less are produced. They will cost you more but there’s only a handful being made. They will be hard to get because all the members will want one.  You will find these on Ebay but you will be paying more for these cars because of the low production number. The number one rule I have is to have fun and enjoy it.
