Leveraging Your Online Income

If you are building an online income, wouldn’t it be great to get paid over and over again for the same work you have already done? If you write on the Internet, whether you have a blog, or you write articles for revenue-sharing sites, you can easily get paid by multiple sites for the same work you’ve already done! The strategy for this is known as backlinking, or bookmarking, and all you need to do is to take a few minutes of your time (with practice, it can take as little as three minutes for each backlink or bookmark).

Using these backlinking or bookmarking sites is really easy; simply sign up as a new member, write a short description of the article you have already written, then add your backlink and you are ready to go. If you do not already have a Google Adsense publisher ID, you will need one, and you should be aware that some of these sites require you to meet certain standards before you can post an active link. However, the extra work required to write another fifty words as a summary of your article is really worth the effort, because you will find that not only is each of these sites paying you a few extra cents, but your original articles will earn substantially more, too! Why is this? First, because the search engines like content that other sites like, so your articles will rank more highly in the results (they will be closer to the top). And secondly, because people will see your backlinks and read them, and click through to read your original article. And all internet writers know that the more eyes they have on the pages, the more likely the ad clicks are to follow.

A word about dofollow vs. nofollow links: yes, dofollow links are better for ranking your article more highly in the search engines. However, you should not discount the value of nofollow links, because if, first, you will be earning extra income from the backlink site, and, second, you are earning more from your original articles, because people are clicking on the links and following through to the original articles, then the simple answer is that it doesn’t matter if the link is nofollow, because you are earning extra money, and it is, after all, the bottom line that counts! So try some of these backlinking sites out, and enjoy the boost to your income!
