Patterns in Adsense Traffic Activity On Article Writing Sites

If you are a publisher who earns income from Google Adsense on article writing sites that share Google Adsense revenue sharing sites, you may have noticed that some days are better than others for earnings. Typically Thursday and Wednesday are the peak earning times for Adsense.

Why Are Some Days Better Than Others For Adsense Revenue Sharing Sites?

I have never been able to find any proof of why some days like Thu and Fri are better for earnings. I have a theory though.  I think that there are more employees in the workplace surfing the web for personal business as the work week winds down. On hump day there is a lot of web surfing because the major tasks of the work week may not be as overwhelming as they are on Monday and Tuesday when it is all business.

I suspect that on Thursday employees are looking for things that they will do on the weekend, shopping online, etc. In turn there are more clicks.

Friday Adsense earnings are typically poor for me since a lot of my topics are business related. I think that many web surfers head out with the weekend on their mind, dine out, go to bars, etc, and are not at home on the computer.

Saturday things pick up a bit but it and Sunday are slow for Adsense earnings. I may have seen more clicks on those days had my topics been about leisure activities and sports.

The thing is I just don’t know. If any of you out there are seeing similar Adsense earning patterns on peak days feel free to add your comments below.

Joel Comm has written an excellent book called “The Adsense Code”. This is a valuable resource for any article writer on revenue sharing sites, as well as for those who have their own sites and want to increase Adsense earnings.
