Review of Young Living Essential Oils: Lavender Oil
Young Living essential oil of Lavender is made from steam distillation of the flowering tops of Lavendula angustifolia, and contains 60 milligrams of Lavender per drop of essential oil. (Note: many commercial-grade or perfume-grade oils are made from a different plant, Lavandin, which has different properties.) Many people have heard of Lavender oil’s relaxing properties, and lavender has been shown to reduce boisterous behaviour in children, and help sleep.
I have been using Young Living essential oil of Lavender for about four months, and in that time, I have noticed that I sleep longer, my sleep is more restful, and my sleep cycles have normalized to almost ninety minutes. In addition, I have added it to massage oil when I get a massage, and I am able to undergo deep tissue massage with far less pain than typical for me. The Young Living essential oil of Lavender also helps in lymphatic drainage, which is important to be able to flush toxins out of the body.
My parents have also used Young Living essential oil of Lavender for several months now, and my mother used to have very short sleep cycles, with an occasional day of sleep; now she sleeps near normally. My father has snored since he was a child, and his snoring is also much reduced.
Remember that Young Living essential oils are not available in the stores, nor are the oils in the stores made in the same way and at the same concentration. So find your Young Living distributor and order from them to make sure you are getting a high-quality essential oil.
